Lodging and Location

“A legacy of hospitality in the mountain west”

Situated about 90 miles northwest of Denver, at 7,522 feet above sea level, Estes Park sits in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Majestic views span in every direction along with the majestic scenes you expect from a Colorado mountain town: gold-medal fishing rivers, iconic peaks, fertile valleys dotted with wildlife plus one unexpected treasure - a national park. Rocky Mountain National Park, home to 300 miles of hiking trails within 415 square miles of protected mountain wilds, borders Estes Park at its eastern entrance.

Book your hotel for the conference

The conference center/host hotel is The Holiday Inn (formerly the Ridgeline Hotel) in Estes Park located just outside of majestic Rocky Mountain National Park.

  • Many people use these terms interchangeably, but they actually have distinct meanings.

Conference: A conference is a gathering of people who come together to discuss a particular topic or set of topics. Conferences can be large or small and can be held over the course of several days or just a few hours. They often include keynote speakers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.

Summit: A summit is a meeting or conference of high-level leaders, often from different countries or organizations, to discuss important issues and make decisions.

Symposium: A symposium is a smaller, more focused version of a conference

Workshop: A workshop is a hands-on educational session where participants learn new skills or methods. Workshops are typically smaller groups where participants get one-on-one help from professionals and tend to be more expensive.

  • The Winter conference in Estes will commence at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 6. It is advisable to arrive early on that day for check-in and some relaxation time before the start of the conference. The event will conclude at 12:00 PM on Sunday, February 9.

  • Once you register for an event, you will receive a link with valuable information, an electronic form with questions such as diet restrictions, access to private groups, recommended clothing/gear particular for destination, etc…

  • Yes! Your ticket includes dinner and non-alcoholic drinks at the opening ice breaker and lunch the first day of the conference. It is an exciting opportunity to go to dinner with people you meet at the conference in a small group setting.

  • We will have options for attendees with dietary restrictions. When you purchase your ticket, you will receive a questionnaire where you may specify your needs.

  • We specifically choose locations that have handicapped accessibility. If you have special circumstances you would like to discuss, please email us at info@outdoorphotoalliance.com.

  • Your hotel stay is not included in the price of the ticket, but we arranged a great deal for you if you stay at our on-site location, you will receive a 10% discount. This allows you to choose a place that fits your budget/needs.

  • It is not required however, we highly encourage you to stay at the conference hotel so you can mingle with other participants and speakers outside conference hours. You will be able to easily access your room during the day if needed and won’t have to drive to and from the location.

  • Spouses or partners can join you at the Inn, but if they want to participate in the conference, they will need to purchase a ticket as well.

We kindly ask that participants refrain from bringing children to the event. Our conference is designed to provide a focused and immersive learning and connection opportunity for all participants, and the presence of children can disrupt this environment.

  • The closest airports to Estes Park are Denver International Airport (approximately 1.5 hours away), The Northern Colorado Regional Airport near Fort Collins (approximately 1 hour away), and the Boulder Municipal Airport (approximately 1 hour away).
